Am I eligible for a Sole Representative of an Overseas Business visa?
Overseas representation visas are designed to allow managers and executives in an overseas company to enter the UK in order and set up their company’s first UK office. In order to be eligible for the overseas representative visa, the applying representative may not own more than fifty per cent of the business, and the business they are representing must remain outside of the UK. Applicants must also:
- Already be employed by the overseas company
- Have the necessary industry knowledge and experience to carry out their role in the UK
- Be travelling to the UK with the purpose of establishing the company’s first UK office
Journalists can also apply for this visa if they are genuinely employed by an overseas broadcaster or news outlet. The only additional eligibility criteria for journalists is that they meet the English language requirements.
We can help guide you through the process of making the visa application and can assist you where things don’t go to plan. Get in touch with our team today.
