These motoring offences include, ignoring one-way streets, turning when a traffic sign states you are not allowed to and or going through red traffic lights.
The penalties for such an offence are 3 penalty points and a fine up to £1000.
It is possible to defend such a charge where the driver would be required to demonstrate that the sign was not contravened and or the traffic sign did not conform to Traffic signs regulations.
Some drivers have a good reasonable explanation for why the traffic sign was contravened such as an emergency, in these cases we can help you defend your license by putting forward a special reason’s argument.
Every contravention of a road sign or going red traffic lights is different, so if you have been accused of this offence then please ask us a question about your particular circumstances and we can advise you.
